California Street, 1979
Oil on canvas
22″ x 28″
Legacy galleries magazine employee Deborah Gay considers this painting to be the product of one of her finest art moments. The piece was painted during one night in February 1979 from her front window, on California Street. She started and finished with the snowfall, all 24 inches worth.
Deborah has had numerous shows of her painting and prints in the Washington area. She was a member of Washington Printmakers for five years. Recently retired from Montgomery County schools where she worked with disabled children, Deborah Gay now intends to work full time on her artistic pursuits.
